BIGSOUND 2017

Brisbane’s BIGSOUND has been instrumental in uncovering artists like Flume, Courtney Barnett and Gang of Youths. We used our full spectrum of brand, web, illustration, animation, video and social media smarts to drive a record-breaking 40% increase in patrons.

#Brand + Website

QMusic was ready to take BIGSOUND Festival and Conference to new heights in 2017. We were proud as punch to deliver an energetic new brand, website and social media strategy that truly matched the vibrancy of the annual music event. With a staff of less than 10, it was also important to help streamline QMusic's workflow, which was achieved by updating their digital architecture and simplifying online application and scheduling processes.

BIGSOUND not only gives artists a genuine opportunity for a career leg up, it also generates millions of dollars for Queensland's economy. We were thrilled to be part of the event's most successful year yet. Toot toot!

We've spent years trying to find an agency that 'gets' BIGSOUND. 9/10ths of the challenge of growing our event is in whether we're able to effectively communicate the unique energy and spirit of BIGSOUND to an extremely diverse audience. Bigfish's work on our 2017 campaign represents a quantum leap for our business.

#Visual Arts Showcase

Our designer and illustrator Niqui Toldi was one of eight artists invited to participate in BIGSOUND’s first Visual Arts showcase. Using large format printing, inflatables, poster paste-ups and paint over windows and shopfronts, Fortitude Valley was transformed into a red and purple playground.

This is very Upside Down world Stranger Things vibes.

#Photography

Highlights were snapped by designer and photographer Dave Byrne, who captured the likes of Cub Sport, Donny Benet, WAAX and Holiday Party (feat. our own Mel Tickle!), among others.
